From Eden to the Kingdom

From Gen. 1:26-2:3 we see that creation reflects the abundance of God's glory and goodness, and God creates from his awesome love.

From John 17:1-5, 20-26, we see that the Son loves the Father by glorifying him, the Father loves the Son by giving him a people, and the Spirit loves the Father and the Son by guiding his people in love.

From Deut. 7:6-8, we find that God's grace is electing and effective.

From Jonah 3:1-4:11 we see the providence, patience, and proclamation of God's mercy.

From Psalm 19, we see that the God's glory is known in the perfection of the good, the beautiful, and the true.

From Isaiah 62:1-5, we see the delight and direction of God's love.

In this sermon, we begin a new series on "The Love of the Triune God", and we work through Psalm 136 to see the Complete, Creative, Common, and Covenantal Love of God.

From Matt. 28:19-20 and Matt. 5:13-16, we see the institutional and individual calls to evangelize.

From 1 Cor. 6, Phil. 2, and John 15, we see that sanctification is granted by God, gained through effort, and grows with maturity in Christ.

From Matt. 16, Eph. 4, and Heb. 10 we see that the church is essential, equipping, and edifying.
